Machine Readable Passport validity exceeded to 10 years: |

The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports will issue the Machine Readable Passports (MRP) valid for 10 years with effect from 01st of November, 2012.

Machine Readable Visa:

The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports has successfully launched the system of issuing Machine Readable Visa to foreign nationals at Islamabad (DGI&P's Headquarter), Lahore (Garden Town), Peshawar, Quetta and Karachi (Saddar). The MRV system has been deployed within the Regional Passport Offices at Provincial Capitals in Pakistan.
